PROJECT TREBUCHET: Day 6
So today was a Monday and dang I'm gonna tell you right now, it was really a sluggish day. We got to watch a CNN video about the exploration of several Earth's. The groups got together and discussed our little problems with getting the arm to work. I've got a 5 to 1 ratio. With that I'm left with 42 in. of the arm. If I were to break it down I would 35 in. to 7 in. I'm a a pretty whacked genius. Ask anyone xP
PROJECT TREBUCHET: Day 5
Alrighty. Here's Friday. I'm two days late of my post for today but that's fine. I'm making up for it right now. So today I worked again on the sketchup of the project. I've gotta say. I'm really getting the hang of it and it is a great program to be using but it is getting so dogging annoying when I try to get the measurements down for the base board and all that. I have the calculations for the arm of the trebuchet. But so far so good. I also got to get my sketchup critiqued by the class. Unfortunately, no one gave me any negative feedback. Too bad.
PROJECT TREBUCHET: Day 4
It was just like any other day here at Math/Physics. Today I worked on the construction of the trebuchet onto Google Sketchup 6. I gotta admit, the program isn't half bad. it could use some help with the whole calculations though. Whoever designed the program made it so that it was difficult to zoom in sometimes. Anyhoo, the team worked on the crest and what not. So like I said, today was just another day of work.

PROJECT TREBUCHET: Day 3
It was another eventful day at HTHCV in Mr. Tator's 4-5 Period Math/Physics Class. We finally got started on the fun stuff. It wasn't construction yet but it was close. Mr. Tator told us about Google Sketchup 6, a program that we would use to create an animated simulation/scale model that we could use as a reference when put into the real life application. So far I've completed a rough sketch of what it will look like, and you know what? I likey xP
PROJECT TREBUCHET: Day 2
Here's the blog for day two. I'm not sure if you noticed this or not but both of blog 1 and 2 were posted on Thursday, the day after it should have been posted. Anyways, Day 2 went fairly well. Jobs were divided equally throughout the group. I was the self proclaimed Lead Designer (don't get me wrong it was unanimous decision afterwards anyway), Andy got Construction Manager, Nick got Videographer and Simulator, and Nimo got Time Manager and Crest. Great work team!
PROJECT TREBUCHET: Day 1
Today was Day 1 of the first phase of the project. The original game plan was to have only three people on our team. It would be Nick, Me, and some random person. Unfortunately Nick was absent that same day so he had absolutely no say in the process of choosing teammates. We ended up with four people in total: Nick, Andy, Nimo, and Me, Nimo and Andy being the two most unlikely new members. It wasn't half bad, Andy and I managed to find designs for the trebuchet and decided that it would have wheels. We also came up with ideas for what it would look like. Not a bad start if you ask me.
